Call Compliance
Last updated: June 16, 2026
Ozzie is built so that compliance is the default, not an afterthought. Here’s how it works — and what we ask of you.
A human starts every call
Ozzie never autonomously dials. A person initiates each call and stays reachable on the line. This keeps it a human-initiated call, not a robocall.
AI disclosure is mandatory
Ozzie always discloses that it is an AI assistant, early in the conversation. The exact wording is configurable; turning disclosure off is not. Several states require this, and it’s simply the honest way to operate.
Recording consent by jurisdiction
When call recording is enabled, Ozzie handles consent according to the callee’s state — including two-party-consent states. You can disable recording per call or globally.
Do-Not-Call & opt-outs
- If a contact asks to be removed, Ozzie agrees immediately, confirms, flags the lead, and ends the sales effort.
- Inbound “STOP” texts are honored automatically.
- We maintain an internal Do-Not-Call list per account.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for having a lawful basis to contact the people you call, for honoring DNC and consent requirements in your jurisdiction, and for your sales claims. Ozzie gives you the tools to stay compliant; using them correctly is up to you. This page is informational and not legal advice — consult counsel for your specific situation.
